Most of the time at Wythe, we start developing a fabric and product because we found a really old, really cool garment, but it either doesn't fit or is no longer wearable.
This sweater is no exception. We've always really loved a moss stitch because of how dense and full of texture it is, but couldn't ever really find a way to use it properly. So, while looking at an iconic northeastern sweater from the 1970s/1980s, we developed this linen and cotton blend, perfect for those cool summer nights.
While dense, this knit opens up beautifully, and for those who have experience with cotton or linen knitwear, you'll know how much these things stretch. While we like the look of this sized up, we think once you get past the initial snugness of this fit, the sweater will stretch out perfectly.
